Creating Your First Rule

Setting up a rule is a 5 step process. In this example we are going to set up an action rule that rewards 5 points when an action with a name space "Customer.Registration" is received from the platform.

Create a new rule by clicking "Add Rule" in the TallyMarks Console.

Step 1: Give your rule a name and description

Give the rule a name and a description.

Step 2: Select an event type

Select the "Action" Event Type. For more information on Event Types see Events

Step 3: Specify rules to assess the event

Specify the rules to assess the event. For more information on what criteria are available for configuration see Assessment Criteria.

Step 4: Specify one or many fulfilment actions if the event matches

Specify the fulfilment actions that will take place if an Action event meets the assessment criteria configured in set 3. For more information on the available fulfilment actions see Fulfilment Actions.

Step 5: Set the rule status and date range it applies too.

Configure the Status of the Rule and the Date Range the Rule applies.

Save

Click "Save (Active)" and Confirm the modal dialog:

You have created your first rule.
